Coat-X replacing heavy rubber mats and kick sheet

With over 30 years of manufacturing experience including Quality horseboxes and motor sport boxes we kept having the same issues. Very heavy rubbers mats and kick sheets that expanded with heat looking unsightly, the fixing screws also looked terrible and are made a weak point for water ingress. Liquid rubber on the horse area floors looks good at first but is too heavy and shrinks letting water underneath. Rubber horse mats on the horse area floor are too heavy to move and to dry underneath. Rubber matting on the horsebox ramps are a big problem to, they are very heavy and hard to seal, they need capping all the way around and again this is more weight and another place for water to get in. Carpet on the horsebox ramp has the same problems as rubber mats but with the added disadvantage of only lasting a couple of seasons. Because of the unique requirements of horsebox owners we could see the need for a new solution. Horses pose a unique problem; they place large amounts of weight on a relatively small area and need to feel confident that they will not slip on the way up the ramp. If they are worried from previous slips it becomes a major loading problem, very stressful and dangerous for both horse and owner.

Coat-X solving many problems with one product

With one product Coat-X spray-on protective coating has solved all these problems whilst at the same time increasing the quality of our builds. We give a two year warranty on all our horseboxes and have to be confident that the products we use will last and look good for years to come.
As a protective coating it is ideal for horse areas and ramps because it offers advantages over the old style heavy rubber mats and kick sheets.
 It bonds to virtually any surface and has such a uniform finish it even makes second hand horseboxes look like new. We can even fit drain holes/tubes into the horse area and spray the protective coating down these for better drainage when washing out. Coat-X replaces carpets and rubber mats without the need for capping, in our horseboxes this means zero water ingress into ramps and floors. It is lighter and looks like new after steam cleaning or power washing. Impact resistance is extremely high whilst being slip resistant. All in all, this makes it the ideal coating for horse areas, ramps and tack boxes.
